Not to put you on the spot, but what are your opinions on Gwenpool's appearance in Champions? For me, I understood what it was going for, in any other book Gwen would be right but as so often happens she gets the intentions of the story wrong. I thought that was clever, but I feel like we could've used more Shenanigans with her is all. Or that it's revealed like at the eleventh hour that she's half right and there are Cops who are Hydra but they have nothing to do with the racism going on.
I really enjoyed it.
Obviously, since it’s a book from a completely different creative team, including editorially, it’s a little different take. But I was really happy with it.
Regarding her not being right–well, to put it in Gwen’s terms, it wasn’t her book, it was theirs. Of course they were right. To put it in slightly more real terms, I think her being wrong was part of the point–she is looking at it as a comic book and saying that there needs to be an explanation for hatred, that people are not just going to be that bad on their own. But in this case, she’s wrong–people can just be bad people.
